Information for OCEA Registrants OCEA INFORMATION TO BE PRINTED AND DUPLICATED FOR REGISTRANTS. Hotel Reservations On line reservations are now closed. Please contact the hotels directly. Directions and Map CLICK HERE for a map indicating the location of the Convention Center and hotels. This map is also located on the back of the OCEA program. We suggest using an online locater system for specific directions. The addresses for the Convention Center and the hotels are as follows: 1. Convention Center 525 Elm Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202 2. Hyatt Regency 151 West Fifth Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202 (Valet Parking = $20/day; Daily Rate-no overnight stay = $12.) 3. Millennium 150 West Fifth Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202 (Valet Parking = $22/day; Daily Rate-no overnight stay = $12.) 4. Hilton Cincinnati 35 West Fifth Street, Cincinnati, OH 45202 (Valet Parking = $21/day; Daily Rate-no overnight stay = $15.) Arrival at the Convention Center 1. Come to the registration counters. 2. Show your name badge to the registration worker and you will be given a bag containing a name badge holder, program and Program Update. The Program Update includes the following information: 1. New sessions added since the publication of the program.
5. Various Ads Badges Admission to all sessions and the exhibits is limited to persons wearing their identification badge. Name badges will be mailed to registrants about five days before the Convention. If you lose your name badge, a replacement must be obtained at the Name Badge Resolution Center in the registration area for a fee of $5.00. Liturgy The Convention will open with liturgy celebrated by Archbishop Daniel Pilarczyk, along with the Bishops of participating dioceses, on Thursday, October 8 at 9: 15 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom located on the third floor of the Convention Center. Liturgy is available at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains located at 325 W. Eighth Street, a short two-block walk from the Convention Center, at 7:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 5:15 p.m. Graduate Credit - University of Dayton The University of Dayton is offering OCEA participants the opportunity to earn one (1) semester hour of graduate credit under the title of Education and Learning, 2009. Registration for graduate credit is on-site at the University of Dayton's booth in the Exhibit Hall. There is no registration for graduate credit prior to the OCEA convention. Exhibits OCEA is pleased to offer you the latest in educational products and services. Exhibits are located in Hall A on the first floor. Exhibit hours are: Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Friday 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. For a listing of Exhibitors please refer to the Program Update. Food Service Save time by eating at the Convention Center. Breakfast and lunch are available at the Convention Center . The food service area is located in the rear of Exhibit Hall A. Plan to visit this food area while checking out the excellent convention exhibitors! Meeting Room Seating All meeting rooms have been set to maximum capacity. We apologize if some sessions are filled to capacity and standing room only is the only choice. OCEA Program & Program Update/Exhibitors Guide Please bring your copy of the OCEA Program with you. There will only be a few extra copies available at the Convention Center.
Handouts You can download handouts that speakers have posted online by accessing the following: www.oceaconvention.org/handouts. Please check the website, and download handouts to bring with you, as these speakers will not bring copies to the Convention. Handouts will remain online through December, 2009. Not all speakers have posted handouts, and some will not do so until after the OCEA Convention. Entertainment
