DATES AND LOCATION The 2011 Ohio Catholic Education Association (OCEA) Convention will take place Monday and Tuesday, October 3-4, 2011 in Columbus, Ohio at the Hyatt Regency and the Greater Columbus Convention Center. |

REGISTRATION The Deadline for online registration has passed. If you did not register online, you may register on-site, beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, October 3. Registration is on the second floor (meeting room level) of the Hyatt Regency Hotel, just before the entrance to the Convention Center. Cost: $150 per person. You can pay by cash or check made out to "OCEA." We do not accept credit cards. |

KEYNOTE PRESENTATION
Keynote speaker on Tuesday, October 4 will be Anne Bryan Smollin, CSJ, Ph.D.. Sr. Anne Bryan is a national speaker on the impact of humor on wellness, aging, spirituality, and stress. Sr. Anne Bryan serves as Executive Director of the Office of Counseling for the Laity for the Diocese of Albany and is a former school guidance counselor. ![]() |

| CONVENTION SCHEDULE The OCEA begins at 8:00 a.m. on Monday, October 3. Sessions run concurrently until 4:30 p.m. On Tuesday, October 4, the convention begins at 8:00 a.m. and concludes at 2:45 p.m. The 2011 program will feature about 250 individual presentations for Catholic school teachers, school administrators, parish catechetical leaders, catechists, and many others. Presentations are offered for educators working at the high school, elementary, and preschool levels. Topics include religious education and other subject areas, instruction, technology, special education, school administration, counseling, development, and a host of other topics. There are special tracks in youth ministry and religious education certification courses. |

| HANDOUTS If your speaker has posted handouts online, you can download them by going to: www.oceaconvention.org/handouts/ Handouts will remain online until December 31, 2011. Not all speakers will post handouts, and some will not do so until after the OCEA Convention. |

GRADUATE CREDIT The University of Dayton is again offering participants the opportunity to earn one (1) semester hour of graduate credit. Registration for graduate credit is on-site ONLY, at the University of Dayton’s exhibit booth. |

The Exhibit Hall, featuring books, technology, and other educational resources, is open throughout the convention. Over 150 exhibit booths are expected for this year. The exhibit booths are a major financial support for the OCEA. |
