Advocacy Day 2009
Prioritizing the Poor and Vulnerable
Advocacy Day was held on April 29, 2009. There were close to 125 participants from throughout Ohio.
Issue Speakers included: Governor Strickland, John Corlett, Ohio Medicaid Director; Col Owens, Attorney and Health Care Reform Advocate; Jeanne Carroll. Policy Analyist, Ohio Association of Job and Family Services Directors; Lisa Hamler-Fugit, Director, Second Harvest Foodbanks; John Paddock, Prepare the Future of Ohio; Carolyn Jurkowitz, Jim Tobin, and Larry Keough, Catholic Conference of Ohio; Reverend Rebbecca Tollefson, Tom Smith, Ohio Council of Churches.
Numerous legislative visits occured.
