Mr. Matthew Daniels Named Senior Director of Education For Toledo Diocese

Matt was most recently the first lay principal at Saint Rocco Parish School in the Diocese of Cleveland.  He previously served as principal-minister at Holy Trinity Parish School in Assumption, Ohio.  He was also a member of the English faculty and served as Faculty Technology Coordinator for Saint John Jesuit High School and Academy.

Matt completed his Bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University where he was a four-time scholar athlete as a walk-on for the football team, and he earned a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from the University of Notre Dame’s Mary Ann Remick Leadership Program.

Matt and his wife, Jen, have five children Joseph (7), Maria (5), James (4), Luke (2) and John (6 months).

This appointment is effective November 13, 2018.

Ohio House Passes Bill Protecting the Right of Religious Expression In Schools

Clarifies that students have the rights of religious conscience

 HB 428 (Ginter-LaTourette), the Ohio Student Religious Liberties Act of 2018,  would protect the right of students to engage in religious activities to the same extent secular activities are allowed in school and have the same access to school facilities.  The bill passed 62-20
